The story of Rumpelstiltskin is one fraught with mystery and suspense. That little devil of a creature thinks hes got the high hand on the poor millers daughter, but she outwits him in the end. And dont we all love a smart shrewd and clever young lass? Yes we do!

When the Toad Hollow ladies asked me to design something in this gorgeous gold colorway I was intrigued and took my inspiration from the millers daughter — clothed in a long skirt but with an over-dress. (see my project page for a photo.) I love wearing a good tunic, especially with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans and this design fits the bill. Drapey with a bit of flow, knit in DK weight yarn, with the option for a long (mid-thigh) or short (hip length) version. This tunic should fit the bill for your fall, winter or spring wearing adventures.
