Then Comes Spring

Since the first snow fall

While Autumn is my favorite season, Spring comes in a close second. Spring, symbolizing renewal, joy, and hope certainly evokes the same feelings within me after a long, cold winter. This shawl is worked in an all-over leaf lace stitch finished with a squishy garter stitch border, all in a swooping crescent silhouette. Pair it up with a lively, bright (and for extra points, green) color way and youll be wearing Spring on your shoulders.

But maybe this shawl is more than a physical representation of Spring. Perhaps it can also serve as a reminder that after the deep winters of our lives, like the seasons of the planet, then comes Spring.
