Moorang Sweater

It is a seamless sweater worked top-down in one piece with saddle shoulders. It has an unshaped silhouette and positive ease about 2 – 3 (5 – 8 cm). It features a turtle neck with a beautiful lace pattern and the same lace pattern adorns the central part of the front. The long straight sleeves and back are worked in Stockinette stitch and finished with 1×1 Twisted ribbing.

Yarn: Light fingering or Fingering weight yarn; approximately 300 – 400 g/ 1300 – 2200 yds (1200 – 2000 m). For size M (pictured) I used 300g of lambswool yarn (100% wool, 1640 yds(1500m)/100g). Worked in 3 strands (= 500m/100g).

Gauge: 27 stitches and 36 rows = 10 cm in Stockinette st with US4 (3.5 mm)

Knitting skills: basic knitting skills, round knitting, lace knitting, increasing (M1R, M1L, M1p), picking up sts, German Short Rows.
