Needles and Materials: Wollelfe Merino Silk (65% merino wool, 35% silk; 100 g [3.5 oz]400 m [438 yds]); knitting needles 2 mm [US0] and 3 mm [US2.5] or other size to obtain gauge; stitch markers, tapestry needle, stitch holder or piece of auxiliary yarn; 5 buttons; cable needle.

Gauge: 30 sts and 36 rows/rounds = 10×10 cm [4×4], in stockinette stitch, using 3 mm US2.5 needles, stretched and after blocking.
