Encore Shawl

Encore is a reversible, simple, intuitive design, featuring garter, eyelets & stockinette.

It’s knit from the top down (no garter tab!)

After a simple setup row, it decreases as you knit – a fabulous incentive to keep knitting!

There are 2 stitch counts to choose from, so you can choose whether you have a really big shawl, or one that is less enveloping! I had fun using Fingering Weight, 4 ply, DK, & a combination of Fingering & Mohair in Version 4 – the grand finale!

Version 1: DK 190cm x 45cm (Unblocked) Approx. total yarn length: 452m /495yds

Versions 2-3 Fingering Weight/4 Ply

124cm x 30cm (Unblocked) /148cm x 40cm (Blocked)

135cm/53 x 33cm (Unblocked)/ 140cm x 38cm (Blocked)

Approx. total yarn length: 368m /403yds – 372m /407yds (across both these versions)

Version 4: Double Stranded Fingering Weight & Lace Weight Mohair

228cm x 60cm (Unblocked). Approx. total yarn length (x2 for double stranding): 640m/ 700yds
