Yarn

Worsted weight yarn: approximately 300 yards/273 m.

Miss Babs Billow (51% Baby Alpaca, 49% Pima Cotton; 320 yards/290 m in 100 g); White Peppercorn – 1 skein.

NOTE: Shawl uses almost all the skein. You may wish to consider purchasing an additional skein due to variations in individual work.

Needles

Size US 7/4.5 mm straight or circular needle 24-32/60- 80 cm long, or size to obtain gauge.

While gauge is not critical for this project, the different gauge can affect the size and overall yardage.

Notions

Stitch markers, 2 cable needles, tapestry needle.

Gauge

22 stitches and 25 rows = 4/10 cm in Cable pattern, blocked.

Notes

The shawl is worked flat from the narrow left point toward the center, increasing along the right edge. After the midpoint, decreases are worked along the right edge to form a symmetrical shape, ending with a narrow right point.
