Leoch Shawl

Leoch is a slightly asymmetric triangular shawl, worked from one tip to a fun loopy i-cord bind off edge and decorated with playful tassels. A combination of an interesting textured pattern, adapted from a stitch pattern from one of Barbara Walkers books, in conjunction with your good old friend garter stitch, will keep you interested while also providing stretches of relaxing in-between knitting where you can let your mind wander.

An ideal vacation project: Concentrate on the lace sections in the comforts of your quarters in the evenings or before your family gets up in the morning, and take the garter stitch parts to the beach or a cafe – youll be done in no time and will have something new to wear on the flight back!

Materials: Nellies Fibers Tweed (85% Merino, 15% Viscose): 100g/ 430 yards 400 meters. 3 skeins or approx. 930 yards 850 meters of any sport weight yarn that knits up to gauge.

Gauge: 24 sts and 32 rows per 4 10 cm in garter stitch after blocking.
